Lying to the North East of Cheltenham near Swindon Village and Brockhampton, Home Farm has developed its equestrian business to a high standard over recent years. The owners are keen to find the right event usage of the facilities that will sit alongside their existing work.
In respect of licensable activity under the 2003 licensing act, the venue presently operates Temporary Event Notices as necessary. These are held under the supervision of the owners who are personal license holders for the purpose.
The arena has scope to be fully lined and themed internally. Depending on use a flooring system would need to be engaged to allow seating / stage / exhibition space. The loading doors present flat and easy access. Dividing drape partitions can be flown in to divide and manage the venue space as necessary.
The Arena is overlooked by a breakout / conference / meeting space that can be used for a range of additional activities. There is also a smaller space and limited catering facilities on the ground floor. It is fitted with a comprehensive fire alarm system and emergency lighting system to current building control standards.
The venue has ample hard standing parking for users of the site and a one way entry exit system has been developed to allow a smooth flow of traffic in ingress and egress.
The event field is a green field site with good vehicular access. It enjoys a position where bordering property is not residential and the nearest residential property to north, east or west is 0.8 miles. To the south, the village of Brockhampton is 0.25 miles.
We would recommend that this venue would be ideal for private parties and functions, product launches, conference work and other corporate events. The equestrian centre would make an excellent performance space, with scope for overhead rigging and a high specification building. Licensing under the 2003 licensing act would need to be addressed, along with the temporary fitting costs.
Very roughly, the venue could be built on that basis to accommodate 1000 – 1500 audience in concert format or 600 banquet style. Supporting temporary marquee venues could be sited immediately adjacent to the main arena.
The event field presents a large space that could be used for a wide range of uses, though up until now has not been fully tested. It is not presently covered by a premises license, though that would be a consideration if necessary for the right event. Enquiries for use would be welcomed.
